» Hello and welcome to Subterfuge. It's a nice little town off of the coast of Washington named Almira, the dogs here come from all corners and walks of life. As the human population is small here, they don't get in the way much and many places are abandoned even in town. While some dogs are owned by the people here and town, and roam freely, many are strays and roam as they please. The humans have little concern about it, however be on the look out for the dog catcher! We're an intermediate dog roleplay, with a minimum word count of 300. We hope you enjoy your stay!

The weather has finally warmed up in our cozy little town. The sun is shinning almost daily, but don't hold it to it. Every now and then the clouds decide to show their faces. It's a great time to make a trip down to the beach or the lake and cool off with some friends.

Weather Alerts! With the warming weather, dry thunderstorms are a threat right now. They can also pose a threat to possible forest fires. Keep a look out!

Laws

General

--Its pretty common sense, respect each other none of us want to see any fighting going on. We prefer drama free. If you find there is a problem with another member- or even a staff member- pm someone on the staff and we will take care of it.

--Do not cause fights in the c-box. It will not be tolerated. If you have a disagreement and want to continue it- take it to pm. If it gets out of hand, bring it to a staff member’s attention. Causing fights or continuously fighting after being told to stop will result in a c-box ban.

--Images on the site must have permission, if we find they are stolen we will remove them and issue a warning, if it continues we will take harsher actions. An easy way to prevent this is deviantart searching through stock or flickr under creative commons. This no stealing goes as well for other members work. Do not steal their images or their codes or their characters, it’s just not worth the trouble you will get into.

--This is a one account per member site, there’s no need to have 6 accounts if you have 6 characters, just keep them under one it is less confusing that way. Also, please refrain from usernames such as wolflover6903. There’s no need for that. Have a few symbols in your username if you want, but try to keep it neat and tidy. Cause Fizz has OCD problems ;]

--If your going away for a bit, please let us know that way if we happen to have an activity check your account wont get deleted.

--Avatars can be no larger than 150x150. Tables no wider than 480.

In Character

--Humans do exist still in our world, which means your dog may be a house dog, loner or belong to a pack, whatever you wish.

--Being a intermediate/advanced site, we do require a 300 word minimum, that isn't asking much, you will be warned if it continuously slips under the 300 word count, after that there will be more drastic action.

--This is a semi-realistic dog rp, meaning no rainbow or unnatural colors or obviously fantasy markngs. We are lenient on eye colors to an extent- no neon colors, that is just ridiculous.

--There will be no god-moding and power playing; it will not be tolerated at all.
"God Modding" is in essence when someone's character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. Power playing occurs in role-playing, and it's when you control someone else's character, as well as your own, without the other person's permission. and the act of using knowledge and or information against someone else in order to gain advantage in an intense situation.

--There will not be any mary-sues or perfect characters, have some creativity, your character cannot be perfect so don’t try to make them like that. They do have flaws.

--On that note, I'll go ahead and mention wolf and wolf crosses as well as anything other than a dog must be purchased from the store. We have a small variety available there for you to choose from and you are welcome to suggest others to us as well.

--Liquid time is allowed, be in as many threads as you can handle, it would be silly to only be in one at a time.

--To make things more realistic, your character can join packs/gangs through IC interaction only.

Pups/Breeding

--No graphic breeding, it is against Proboards rules, and therefore against ours. If you are dead set on a graphic breeding, then take it to pm. Please, do a fade out in the thread though.

--The IC thread has to have the consent of both parties in the thread- unless its rape..then it wouldn't be but you get my drift.

--Staff decides the gender, physical description (including defects) and number of pups. You are welcome to buy a custom pup or litter if you’d like where you pick everything (the size of the litter must be reasonable)

--When born, pups are set at about 3 months so they are free to roam the site; we aren’t going to make you roleplay a newborn, that’s too difficult.

Fighting

--No powerplaying or godmodding, this has already been discussed but it is NOT tolerated. You may ask permission to do so with the other person, if they give permission then that’s fine, it’s recommended to say so OOC at the bottom of the post though, so there is no confusion.

--Be realistic, characters cannot dodge every single attack, they will get hurt.

--Fights can be predetermined or if an agreement cannot be made than a staff member can judge it.

--Fights are judged based on a few things, they are;

1. grammar
2. realism
3. style/flow

keep in mind, its not about quantity it is quality we look for. A 300 word post can easily beat an 800 word post.

If you are unhappy with a judging or feel it was biased you are more than welcome to request ONE re-judge and a new judge will be appointed to judge the fight, in the event of tie a third person will be asked to judge and make the final decision.
