» Hello and welcome to Subterfuge. It's a nice little town off of the coast of Washington named Almira, the dogs here come from
all corners and walks of life. As the human population is small here, they don't get in the way much and many places are abandoned even in town.
While some dogs are owned by the people here and town, and roam freely, many are strays and roam as they please. The humans have little concern about it,
however be on the look out for the dog catcher! We're an intermediate dog roleplay, with a minimum word count of 300. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Year one. Season: Summer
Temperatures: 65° - 90°
The weather has finally warmed up in our cozy little town. The sun is shinning almost
daily, but don't hold it to it. Every now and then the clouds decide to show their faces.
It's a great time to make a trip down to the beach or the lake and cool off with some friends.
Weather Alerts! With the warming weather, dry thunderstorms are a threat
right now. They can also pose a threat to possible forest fires. Keep a look out!
word count & word of the of week coming soon!
The winter has finally faded, and spring is beginning to show its colors. The harsh snows of the winter have melted away, rivers flowing once more. Prey is returning and plentiful where it normally resides. The big cats are becoming more lively, wandering the land with anticipation of this new year. New fawns are being born, grass and everything is growing in mass amounts. The land is really coming alive.

All she could see around her were green pastures going on and on as far as the eye could see. It was a bit disheartening, for after walking all day long Kiasma found herself exhausted. Her paws ached and her throat felt dry and swollen. The sun burned her back and the heat was enough to drive anyone mad. Hunger and thirst were also dully noted as she pressed forward.
All she wanted to do was rest. Rest and eat and have a good long drink of cold refreshing water. But really, just a spot with some shade from the unbearable sun would do. A good nap would not ease her many ailments, but it would give her the energy she needed to go and get food and water.
Where was this blasted place anyways? All Kiasma knew was that, one day, she had left her hometown and taken to walking. Kiasma regretted that decision with every step she took. So far she gotten nowhere; she was no less alone that back home, nor had she found any sort of purpose or meaning to her life. She was the same empty and lonely stray, only hungrier and dirtier.
But it was too late to go back now. Not only was she miles and miles away from home, she had absolutely no idea how to go back. There had been so many turns and twists and different roads that, should she try to retrace her steps, she would surely not get anywhere.
Squinting her eyes, Kiasma was able to make out the dark shape of an old farm building not too far away. Perfect! Kiasma started making her ways towards the hopefully unoccupied barn. Her walk turned into an easy trot, and as she got closer she sped up, eager for some shade.
Of course, as tired as she was, she could not just plop down and sleep without inspecting the place before hand. It seemed empty and abandoned, but there was always the chance some other stray had wandered inside before her. The last thing she needed was to get into a fight.
All seemed well, however, and after a thorough inspection, there seemed to be no one, and Kiasma was free to find a nice spot, just outside the barn, where she could lay down and get some rest.
